Fun Weekend! (for one of us)

While Ben worked his tail off on an exciting freelance project (ask him; he'll tell you all about it, ) I got to have some fun, fun, fun!

Friday evening and most of the day Saturday, I was lucky to attend a community theatre convention. Thirteen different groups from around Cincinnati brought excerpts from their shows of the past year. There was so much talent! I was able to see pieces I had never seen before and revisit shows I saw earlier in the season. I didn't get much sleep on Friday night; it was so worth it! I have a few auditions coming up over the next few weeks, and I am so ready to go!

Today, Lissa and Riley took me to the zoo. We walked around for a few hours and had lunch. The cafeteria had veggie burgers! The Cincinnati Zoo has a platform that you can feed the giraffes off of. They sell oversized wheat thins to feed the towering animals. Lissa and I participated; Ri did not. Riley paid more attention to the people than the animals. She did seem to notice the elephants, though. I love to watch the wheels turning in her pretty head. She's getting things figured out. Next up: world domination.
